What happens if I begin a relationship with someone I meet and don't want to continue receiving introductions?

We celebrate your happiness and success! Once you let us know you're in an exclusive, committed relationship, we're happy to shift our focus to "early-stage relationship" coaching to support you going forward.

All purchases and Services contracted with The Date Maven are final once the Agreement's right-of-cancellation period (if any, described below) has expired. Except as required by Kansas law, no refunds or credits will be issued for discontinuing the Services before the Agreement's term ends, including — but not limited to — meeting a partner through the Services, meeting a partner outside the Services, dissatisfaction with the Services, or a "pause" or "break" from the Services. In short: once Services begin, and after any applicable cancellation period has passed, they are non-refundable.

Right to Cancel: If you sign this Agreement at a location other than The Date Maven's regular place of business, Kansas law (K.S.A. 50-640) gives you the right to cancel this Agreement, without penalty, until midnight of the third business day after the day you sign it. A separate Notice of Cancellation form is attached to this Agreement for that purpose. This right does not apply to Agreements signed at The Date Maven's office or entered into online through our website.

Placing Services on hold: If you notify The Date Maven in writing, in advance, that you'd like to pause your Services, we will hold your account for up to six months. Services will resume for the time remaining when you notify us of your wish to resume within that six-month window. Any unused hold period expires at the end of the six months.

Reactivating after a hold expires: Clients who wish to reactivate Services after the six-month hold period may do so if they are in good standing with their matchmaking team. A reactivation fee may apply, depending on the length of the hold and the specifics of your search.

Unused Services with no hold on file: If paid-for Services go unused for six consecutive months or more, with no prior hold notification and no communication with The Date Maven during that period, those Services will be forfeited — without refund or credit.

Because The Date Maven's resources are limited and dedicated to current clients, taking you on may have meant turning other prospective clients away. This policy helps ensure your matchmaker can stay focused and fully committed to your search.
